Lake Tahoe's Best Beaches and Fireworks
By Sondra Norris of ReserveMyHome, LLC
Today I will be packing for my families week long stay in Lake Tahoe, Nevada. Tomorrow, all the kids, luggage and beach toys will be loaded into the car for what I hope to be a fantastic week in our Lake Tahoe rental over the 4th of July. We have our "to do" list all filled out which includes a visit to many of the beautiful beaches on both the North and South shores of Lake Tahoe. This Sunday will no doubt be the highlight of our trip as we will spend the day at our favorite beach (Sand Harbor) during the day. This beach is a short ten minute drive from Incline Village on the North shore. The kids will enjoy fun in the sun and swimming throughout the day and when darkness arrives the North Lake has an amazing fireworks show that reminds me of the shows in Santa Cruz back in the late 1970's. For our beach chair and blankets we will watch to event directly overhead which is an experience that simply can not be duplicated. Many other firework shows around the country are seen from a distance which makes the lights and sounds less intense. Any beach location near the Hyatt hotel which is located on the North shore is sure to be packed with travelers from both near and far. One should arrive early for your best shot a getting an ideal spot to hunker down for the day and into the evening. On the South shore check out any of the beaches down by the Lake Tahoe Keys where for a bit of a distance the fireworks will be almost as wild and crazy as the North shore. If you prefer a family friendly beach for day use you might want to consider Tahoe City where the main beach is directly across the street from the small town. There you will find a nice sandy beach with a playground and sometimes music put together by small bands. Lake Tahoe is the place to be to experience a number of awesome beaches around the lake that include great fireworks built-in. Lake Tahoe Vacation Rentals are the choice of many travelers with families while hotels offer the typical small rooms that with families make it difficult to relax.

Living in Lake Tahoe has its benefits and the summer is finally here and most all the snow has melted. Bring your swimming suits and sun tan lotion for a ton of fun in and around Lake Tahoe.

Lake Tahoe sounds like a great place to spend the 4th of July. The sound bouncing off the water even seems to make it louder and the reflections are nice too. When the kids were small we would go to the tidal river basin near the Jefferson Memorial in Washington, DC. We always got there early and enjoyed the cherry tree blossoms which were in full bloom around the fourth. We learned the first year that getting out of there after the fireworks was a bumper to bumper turtle traffic mess. The second year we brought a small TV which ran off the cigarette lighter and simply watched TV till the traffic was all gone. There is nothing worse to ruin a great day then driving a 3 miles an hour. We got a lot of envious looks from people in the cars inching past us.
Thank you for sharing this information on Lake Tahoe, Sondra. We have taken a number of family vacations to Kiaowa and Hilton Head . Guess it's time to head west and explore. Keep up the good work. Best wishes. Frederick
